Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Robert C. Huizenga, O.D.

Robert C. Huizenga, O.D. is a Doctor of Optometry. He has an optometrist license from the state of Michigan. He attended Calvin College for his undergraduate studies.  After that, he completed four years of additional study at Illinois College of Optometry where he received his doctorate degree. He graduated with honors in 1978. Dr. Huizenga has been practicing in Jenison, Michigan since 1978.

Dr. Huizenga is certified in primary care optometry and in the treatment and management of ocular disease using therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. He is a member of the West Michigan Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Huizenga is married to his highschool sweetheart, Anita.  They have two great married children, an amazing son-in-law and daughter-in-law and three incredible grand children. He has been involved with Hudsonville Christian School, Unity Christian, Calvin University and Alive Ministries.

His hobbies include biking, golf, traveling and gardening.

Opticians

The Georgetown Eye Associates optical staff have many years of experience and provide exceptional service for our patients wearing eyeglasses. Our opticians are trained to help you select eyeglasses that are just right for combining excellent vision with the style that you are looking for. In addition, they also provide advice and guidance about lens technology that will further enhance the appearance and comfort of your eyeglasses.

Optometric Technicians

Our technicians are trained to collect medical histories, perform diagnostic tests and take measurements that assist Dr. Huizenga in the diagnosis and treatment of vision disorders and eye diseases. They use computerized instruments that gather information during routine examinations and medical visits.

Patient Service Coordinators

Receptionist – Dedicated staff members will assist you with a variety of services, all of which are designed to provide our patients with excellent customer service with a personal touch. They will answer your questions when you phone our office and they always greet you with a smile when you arrive at our office. They will assist you in processing your optical and medical insurance.
